The N9 Allen & Ginter Flags - Series 1 set is a variation collector's dream. The set pictures 50 different named subjects but has variations on both the front and the back that allow for the set to be collected in a number of different ways. There are eight cards that can be found with a fancy variation--some of which are difficult and some that are prohibitively difficult. The backs can be found with block script, curved script and "right bower" brand backs. The fronts can also be found with "Virginia Brights" tagline advertising as well as both Ginter and Ginter's noted on the front. All told, there are currently believed to be approximately 291 different variations.
This lot of (37) Cards from the N9 Allen & Ginter set includes a group of (27) cards that contain the difficult "Right Bower" brand back. The cards are all in lower condition with some type of residue on them. It is possible that residue could be removed but that would be up to the bidder to attempt. This is the largest grouping of "Right Bower" backs that we have seen to date and by far the largest group we have handled in the auction. While lower grade, this lot would probably fill a lot of holes in an advanced grouping of N9 Flags cards.
