The N9 Allen & Ginter Flags - Series 1 set is a variation collector's dream. The set pictures 50 different named subjects but has variations on both the front and the back that allow for the set to be collected in a number of different ways. There are eight cards that can be found with a fancy variation--some of which are difficult and some that are prohibitively difficult. The backs can be found with block script, curved script and "right bower" brand backs. The fronts can also be found with "Virginia Brights" tagline advertising as well as both Ginter and Ginter's noted on the front. All told, there are currently believed to be approximately 291 different variations.

The toughest front variation in the N9 Allen & Ginter Flags of All Nations set is the No "S" version where Allen & Ginters tagline at the bottom front is missing the "S". These are significantly tougher to find and are scarcely found in any large groupings of N9 cards. This copy is for a single No "S" Ginter variation of the subject Hawaiian Islands that is in VGEX condition and clean front and back. These are highly sought variations by the master set collectors for the N9 series.
