The N96 Duke's Honest Long Cut Tobacco Actress Folder cards are larger cards issued in larger packs of Duke Cigarettes in the late 1880's to early 1890's. They picture unnamed actresses in a center panel with two side panels and once folded cover the actresses picture. The backs of the cards have an advertisement for Duke's Honest Long Cut Tobacco in the center panel with graphics on the two side panels. The set is a (25) card set and is one of the more interesting larger format cards that Duke created during the tobacco card heyday. The backs of the cards can be found with different graphics for the variation collector to pursue. Like all cards that were folded for insertion into packs, the cards are condition sensitive.
This lot contains a group of (14) N96 Duke Honest Long Cut Actress Folders. There are some duplicates in the lot, most of which have back variations. The overall condition of the cards could best be described as about VG to EX with most falling into the VGEX range. Great lot that represents a good start on a complete set as well as some extra variations.
