The N377 Ellis Tobacco Recruit Cigarettes Civil War Generals pictures generals from both the Confederacy and the Union sides in colorful lithography for the late 1880's. The 25 card set are tougher than many of the mainstream issues but set completion is possible with patience and dollars. The set contains Lee and Grant as well as many of the other more well-known generals of the Civil War.
This set of (25) cards are generally in VG to EX condition, averaging around VGEX. There are a couple cards with some like paste-like substance on the backs and some light back discoloration on a couple cards but largely, these cards have clean backs with colorful, clean fronts. This set is one that is rarely seen complete and we've rarely had more than lots of 1-2 of these cards, so this is a turnkey set and opportunity to grab one of the more interesting sets in the 19th century tobacco vertical.
