The Allen & Ginter Editors set of the late 1880's conveyed just how much importance was placed on the power of the pen. Many of the editors pictured in the set were some of the most powerful men in the United States at the time. Pulizter, Belo and many more. The 50 card set employed great lithography and the cards were numbered on the back. This set, like some of the other A&G sets, seems to have used possibly some type of coating on the front which make them susceptible to flaking of the surface.
This lot of (14) cards from the Allen & Ginter American Editors set are in VG to EXMT condition, averaging about EX. The card numbers in the lot include: 6, 15, 16, 19, 25, 28, 29, 34, 40, 41, 43, 44, 45 and 47. Great lot of these very popular cards. This is a great lot of super clean cards for the set builder.
