The CDV or Carte de Viste were small format photos that typically measure around 2-1/2" by 4". They generally have a slightly smaller albumen photo that has been mounted to the mount that is that size. The CDV were most commonly found in the mid-1850's through early 1870's. Beyond that date the larger 'cabinet' photo supplanted them as the more common type of photo.
This lot is a group of (4) Different Abraham Lincoln CDV photos. All are in VGEX to EX condition. Lincoln may be the most photographed person ever and is definitely one of, if not the most, common CDV subjects. Great group of CDV's from this wildly popular president.
