The CDV or Carte de Viste were small format photos that typically measure around 2-1/2" by 4". They generally have a slightly smaller albumen photo that has been mounted to the mount that is that size. The CDV were most commonly found in the mid-1850's through early 1870's. Beyond that date the larger 'cabinet' photo supplanted them as the more common type of photo.
This lot is a group of (4) Different George Washington CDV's from the 1860's/1870's. The condition is generally in VGEX to EX with one having clipped corners. Great early lot of photos of our countries first president.
