The R121 Scharley Questions set was produced sometime in the 1930's by American Maid Confection Company and contained 48 cards. The product was "The Nutty Fish". The set is a tough set to collect and rarely comes up for sale. Even rarer is this wrapper for the set. This wrapper pictures two men riding a large fish. One is hanging on the upper rear fin while the other is riding the fish holding onto a fishing pole with the hook in the fishes mouth. The caption "Vus you dere?" is on the colorful yellow and blue wrapper. The wrapper advises to "Save the picture coupons inside. A Full Set of 48 entitles (sic) you to valuable prizes". The redemption offer may explain the scarcity for the cards from the set. Super tough wrapper for wrapper collectors. We have been advised that the "entitels" spelling is on all the wrappers.

The wrapper is in what I would consider is about VG condition for the period with just a small hole in the lower right corner and what appears to be a slight water stain at the top center of the wrapper. It's difficult to tell but the letters in that water spot may have been retraced. Very difficult wrapper that is on many advanced wrapper collector's lists.
