The R190 America's Defender series was issued by Milkes chocolates as a six box set in 1941. The set includes B17 Pilot Colin Kelly, General Douglas MacArthur, Army Truck, Bomber, Machine Gunner and Pursuit Ship. The boxes are rare and even rarer to find in complete form.
This lot contains the single box for Douglas MacArthur--the key to the R190 set. The box is diecut and, when folded, much of the sides of the diecut area hang off beyond the box. They are frequently found in lower grade. This one is in technically lower grade due to paper loss on the flaps of the end of the box. The Douglas MacArthur picture is clean and unblemished as is the back side of the box and it is still intact. It could be reassembled into a 3D box.
