The R196 United Confectioners Supply set is a set comprised primarily of gum packages and wrappers. The wrappers can be found in five different colors--blue, green, orange, red and yellow. Non-Sport.com catalogs (32) subjects The wrappers picture a movie star in a sepia tone set against the stark background color with movie film at the top and bottom of the wrapper. The sticks of gum were included in an outer wrapper which appears to be the same as the inner stick wrapper but just cut a slight bit longer. The outer wrappers appear to have a different group of subjects than do the inner stick wrappers. In all the packs we have seen one of the sticks of gum has the wrapper glued into the outer wrapper, so it is difficult to separate them without damaging them. The sticks and wrappers are rarely found and are missing from many different type card collections. It is unknown but assumed that all subjects come in all colors.
This lot is for a single full five cent package of Radio Gum with (5) sticks of gum. The package and individual sticks of gum are in EXMT to NRMT condition and extremely clean. The outer package wrapper is of Ted Wells in a red color. (4) of the (5) sticks inside are unattached and include the following subjects: Tom Tyler (Orange), Richard Barthelmess (Red), Richard Barthelmess (Yellow) and Joe E Barry (Green). The fifth stick of gum and the wrapper are stuck to the outer wrapper. Phenomenal piece of candy and gum history.
