The 1951 Topps Animals of the World set is a (100) card series of animals of the world pictured on the front of the card in front of a colored rectangle with white borders and a black title in all caps. The backs of the cards are numbered in the upper left and have a short narrative about the animal. They can be found in either cream color or gray color. The gray cards were issued in wax packs individually and the cream backs are from panels of two that were issued in cello type packages.
This set of 100 cards is in mixed condition with about 15% having some type of back issue--either small pieces of black construction type paper adhered or a paper pull where the paper was originally. The rest of the cards average about VGEX to EXMT and, other than some with light toning, are generally very pleasing quality. All card fronts have been scanned with a couple pages of sample backs.
