The 1956 Topps Elvis Presley is a set of (66) cards issued by Topps in their golden era of card production. The cards picture Elvis from his early days and some of his earlier movie roles. The card titles are on the front of the color card in a red guitar. The backs feature a narrative of Elvis answering fan mail. The back printing is in typewriter type print and the card number is on the back.
This is a strong EX to EXMT set with some better and some worse. Checklist cards are unchecked and card #66, the last card in the set, is the only card graded by PSA as NM7. Just a beautiful, mid to high grade set appropriate for the best of collections. All card fronts have been scanned and a sample of card backs as well.
Originating in the collection of a very advanced PSA collector, this set and a number of others in the auction are high mid-grade sets mostly free of creases and individually sleeved in semi-rigids housed in 4 pocket pages in binders. As with this set, many of the sets are mostly ungraded with some nice or key cards graded as noted.
