merican Caramel was the undisputed heavyweight of Caramel cards created in the first quarter of the 20th century. Their sets were detailed and, in some cases colorful, representations of the subjects they portrayed. The nonsports sets are typically 20-25 cards in length such as this E49 Wild West Set. The set pictures Scouts and Indian subjects of the Wild West--a popular subject for cards in the early 20th century. Famous scouts in this set include Kit Carson, Pawnee Bill, Davy Crockett, Buffalo Bill and General George Custer. Famous Indians include Always Riding, Black Bear, Sitting Bull and others.
This set of (20) Cards is in Good to near EX condition, averaging about VGEX. They are colorful representations of life in the Wild West. The set displays nicely overall.
