Auction #2 - June 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/23/2019
This lot contains a single Goodwin & Company Old Judge Diecut. These are cataloged as H235 in the trade card tobacco product section of the American Card Catalog. These can be found from two different lithographers--Major & Knapp of New York and H. Bencke of New York. This lot has the man with mutton chops from the Major & Knapp lithography company. These are some of the more popular Goodwin / Old Judge advertising pieces from the late 19th century and from a set of 8.
This one is in what I would consider about F to G condition and overall clean but has a piece of archival tape on the back where part of the bottom left appears to have begun chipping away.
