The 1940 Godfrey Phillips Beauties of To-Day is a (36) card set of beauties that includes Dorothy Lamour, Betty Grable and Carole Lombard among others. The women are mostly in swimwear of the day.
This set of (36) cards have been completely graded by PSA and has an overal GPA of 8.31 and is #3 on the PSA registry. The individual grades for the cards break down as follows: PSA9 MT (9 cards: 15, 16, 18, 19, 21, 22, 27, 30 and 35), PSA8.5 NMMT+ (4 cards: 14, 17, 25 and 29), PSA8 NMMT (17 cards: 1, 4, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, 20, 23, 24, 26, 28, 31, 32, 33 and 34) and PSA7 NM (6 cards: 2, 3, 5, 8, 9 and 36). Beautiful set that would be a great addition to even the finest of nonsports collections.
