The Drummond Tobacco Company of St. Louis, Missouri, issued a few sets in the late 1880's. The N437 set pictures actresses with their portrait in oval much like the Lorillard or Between the Acts tobacco series and the N438 series pictures 'Bathing Girls' in an oval portrait with a line drawn often-bawdy picture.
This lot of (10) N437 Drummond Actresses (in Oval) Toddy Cigarettes are in Good to VGEX condition, averaging about VG. There are (7) cards with a small number written on the back under the "T" in Toddy in light red ballpoint. The subjects in the lot are: Allen, de Lussan, de Wolfe, Hampton, Hill, Modjeska, Mulder, Pallotta, Robinson, Shotwell. Great lot of these rarely seen cards.
