The N157 Sunny South Series are a series of tobacco cards picturing African American subjects--often in racially stereotyped poses. The set can be found with advertising from a number of different tobacco companies and brands including Honest Long Cut and Gail & Ax Bob'Link from Duke tobacco or Sweet Lavender and Old Gold from Kimball. Not all subjects have been seen from all brands.
This pair of N157 Duke Honest Long Cut Sunny South Series cards are in VGEX condition and mostly clean. One subject features a younger African-American man with a hat on with his hands to his face laughing. The other subject appears to be a man in blackface with a tophat and giant cigar sitting on a chair. Both are Honest Long Cut branded.
