The Bowman Gum company issued the America Salutes the FBI set in 1949 at a time when interest in the agency would have been at it's height. The set was one of a number of smaller format card sets that Bowman issued. This is a smaller set with only (36) subjects. Card fronts are horizontally formatted with colorful depictions of FBI life. Backs of the cards are printed in two tone red and blue ink. Cards measure 2-1/16" wide by 2-1/2" high.
This complete set of (36) cards from the 1949 Bowman America Salutes the F.B.I. set are in EXMT to NRMT condition and extremely clean. This is, by far, the nicest set of these cards that we have offered and would be candidates for grading should the winner chose to do so. This set would fit nicely into the best of collections.
