The T331 Fatima Cigarettes College Pennant Stamps set is a series of stamps issued with Fatima cigarettes picturing pennants of well-known colleges of the day. They were issued around the 1915 timeframe and the artwork was also used for the Weber Bread set cataloged as D96. The stamps are perforated on the edges as a normal stamp would be and originally had both printing and a gummed back for adhering to something. Stamps of better known and collected schools like Notre Dame and Michigan will bring more than the more unknown schools like Antioch and CCNY. There are blank back versions of the stamps that exist that do not have the college seal on the front.
This lot of (12) T331 Fatima College Flag Stamp Series stamps are in VG to EX condition and mostly clean. There are (7) with the printed Fatima backs and (5) that are blank-backed. The blank back subjects include the following: Wisconsin, Cincinnati, Dartmouth, Illinois and Wooster.
