The N312 Series is a series of (15) cards picturing "Winged Birds of Plumage". The card fronts feature women from the waist up with bird feathers added set against a light brown background. The series were a stock photo card series that were used by a number of tobacco companies for advertising including William G. Hills "Orphan Boy" brand, Allen & Ginter (strips of three cards), Frishmuth and Mayo Cut Plug, among others. The Hills cards are most common as are the Mayo's but all of the cards are difficult to find and some are nearly impossible.
This lot is for a single N312E Just So Brand Winged Bird of Plumage of the subject "Pheasant". The card has beautiful coloring on the front and a blank back that has a name written in light pencil that could easily be erased. The Just So Brand also issued some similarly sized baseball cards that are worth many thousands of dollars and very difficult to find.
