The R36 Fleer Gum Cops and Robbers set was one of Fleer's few issues of the 1930's. The cards pictured oddly named policemen and criminals and have one of what is apparently (5) different colors - beige or black, green, mauve or purple, salmon or dark pink or orange. Below the card itself, was what is known as an evidence tab. The evidence tabs are numbered 1-35 and could be redeemed for an amateur detective badge if all (35) were collected and sent to Fleer.
This lot includes a complete set of (35) of the Fleer Cops and Robbers cards. The set is both a mixed color and mixed condition set with the following breakdown on condition: VGEX to EX (15 cards), GVG to VG (12 cards) and F to G (8 cards). In addition to the 35 cards, the evidence tab #14 is included. The evidence tabs are particularly difficult to find and are highly collectible themselves.
