The D90 Wonder Ships set is a set of (36) "cards" that were actually slick little bifold booklets that were issued by about a dozen different bakeries in 1939. The booklets were typically issued on a weekly basis and each booklet has a beautiful colorful ship picture as part of the booklet meant to be trimmed from the booklet and affixed in an album that was available from the bakery. The booklets also included some advertising and generally included a recipe as part of the booklet. Bakeries issuing the booklets include: Krug's, Cushman, White, Wesley, Colonial, Kelley, Holmes & Son and Manor.
This lot includes (3) D90 Wonder Ships albums with complete sets affixed in the albums from the bakeries of Cushman's, Colonial and Krug's. A sample album has been scanned front and back and the interior first page from each of the (3) albums showing the manufacturers have been scanned as well as a couple sample pages from a sample album showing the interior cards.
