The D127 Phillips Bread Indian Pictures set is a rarely seen set of (24) indians that were inserted into loaves of Indian Bread from Phillips Baking Company. The cards are printed, as with most bread cards, on very thin paper and often have little nicks or tears at the bottom which were incurred when they were mechanically inserted into the loaves of bread. The artwork is that of Winhold Reiss and is attributed as such on the front of the cards in the lower left in extremely small type.
This lot of (10) cards is in about G to VGEX condition, averaging about VG- (without regard to the nicks at the bottom of the cards). The lot contains the following numbers: 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 13, 14, 17, 18 and 21.
