The R-UNC Beich Jig-Saw Puzzle Candy set was issued by the Paul F. Beich Company of Bloomington and Chicago. The cards were actually small puzzles measuring about 2" high by 3" wide or so consisting of 12-20 pieces. There is a second type of puzzle that is larger measuring 3.5" tall by about 5" wide. The only wrapper that we have seen would have been for the Type 1 smaller cards. The graphics on the puzzle give it a 3D look so it's not known if there was a viewer to go with the puzzle or what the setup was.
This lot is for a single R-UNC Beich Type 1 (smaller) Jig Saw Puzzle and matching wrapper. This is the only wrapper we have seen for the issue. The Wrapper is in VG condition with the bottom part of the wrapper folded over. The wrapper is fragile so we did not attempt to unfold it. The puzzle is missing a part of one piece on the left hand side and there is some staining on the back as well as some paper issues. This puzzle is a 15 piece puzzle picturing the Battle of Gettysburg. Phenomenal type pieces.
