The T42 Birds set, like many of the tobacco-era sets, was issued by many different companies in many different products. Whether it's baseball players, fish, flags or birds, sets like T42 offer a set that can be collected in so many different ways. The set totals 100 cards--50 each of two different formats--one a white border format and the other a gold border format. The card backs can be found from different manufacturers and different factories--much like the T206 baseball series of a similar time frame.
This complete set of (100) cards from the T42 Bird Series are largely in VG to VGEX condition with a few better and just a few lesser cards. Tougher backs include (8) Old Mill White Border Cards, (1) Gold Border Old Mill Card and (6) Piedmont Overprint Gold Border cards.
