The R89 Gum Inc Mickey Mouse set is a 96 card set of one of the most popular comic characters of all time. Mickey Mouse's popularity exploded in the early 1930's and Gum, Inc of Philadelphia, PA sought to capitalize on that with their set. The set was issued in two different series of 48 cards with each having a companion album. More often than not, the cards found themselves glued into the albums so finding high grade cards is difficult.

This Type II R89 Gum Inc Mickey Mouse is of the subject #32 "Can Mickey Play" that has been graded by SGC as SGC20 or Fair 1.5. The card has some creasing, most noticeably in the upper left and lower right corners but retains strong colors.
