The N231 Kinney Tobacco Great American Trotters set pictures (25) of the best trotting horses from the late 19th century. Unlike thorobred horses, trotters typically have the rider in a small cart pulled behind called a sulky. Kinney issued (3) sets of horses during this period including the N229 American Horses, N230 English horses and this set. In addition to the small format cards, they also issued larger format, frameable 8x10 or 10x12 sized prints which are also highly collectible.
This lot includes (6) in VG condition and (9) in G or less condition with issues such as pinholes, paper loss or paper adhered or creasing.
