N184 Kimball Champions of Game & Sports lot of (13) cards with John L Sullivan

The N184 set was Kimball's only foray into the world of sports. It pictured four baseball players, a number of boxers and other sports of the day like pedestrians, wrestlers, oarsmen, chess players and sharpshooters. This lot of thirteen cards is in overall very nice condition for the issue. Overall the lot averages about VG to VGEX with three lesser. The subjects included are Beach (creased), Cardiff, Freeman, George (small surface paper loss on front), Heins, Muldoon, Muller (surface paper loss on front), Ross (creased), Schloss, John L Sullivan, Wallace, Webb and Whistler. The early John L Sullivan card is particularly nice with just wear to the corners--most noticeably the top two corners.
