The John H Dockman candy company of Baltimore, Maryland was a prolific candy company in the early part of the 20th century. There are a number of card issues attributed to them in both the sports and nonsports genres and they also issued candy and gum in boxes with toy trinkets.
This lot is for a single John H Dockman Jolly Rover Candy box with a small metal airplane trinket and couple pieces of what, at one time, could have been described as gum but now has taken on a life of its own. The box is in about EX condition except for some water stain or foxing on the lower half of the box. Great 1910's/1920's candy box from the hey day of Candy making in America.
