The H556 Ivory Polish card set is a group of (4) checklisted Actress cards. The subjects include Mrs. (Grover) Cleveland, Mrs. Langtry, Lotta and Adelina Patti. There may be more subjects in the set but this checklist has been static for a number of years. The cards feature sepia-toned images of the subject on the front with an advertising for Ivory Polish on the back of the card. The cards are sized 1-1/2" wide by 2-1/2" high and similar in size to many of the 20th century tobacco cards. The cards are printed on a thinner stock akin to the 20th century tobacco cards but were likely issued in the latter part of the 19th century.
This lot of (3) cards from the H556 Ivory Polish set include the subjects: Mrs Cleveland(2) and Lotta. The cards are in VG to VGEX condition.
