The E79 Philadelphia Caramel 27 Scrappers set was issued by Philadelphia Caramel in the early part of the 20th century. The card set is one of a few that Philadelphia Caramel produced including baseball sets and caramel sets picturing animals. The set is interesting in that it pictures individual boxers in full pose, boxers in pairs sparring and one of the more interesting type of cards with just to boxers arms in poses that help explain a boxing move. The set is usually found with black printing on the back and advertising for Phildelphia Caramel of Camden, New Jersey but also can be found with much more scarce red printing.
This lot is for a single card from the E79 Philadelphia Caramel 27 Scrappers of the subject Marvin Hart that has been graded as PSA4 or VGEX. The card is a clean copy and would be a welcome addition to a mid grade set or as a graded card for a nice type set.
