The Wallace chocolates company from New York, New York issued a number of sets in the post 1900 range. There were three different small actress sets along with sets of 3 to 4 mini card strips as well as story booklets. This lot contains a pair of boxes from Wallace as well as a sample envelope and an E202 type card.
This lot includes an advertising hangar for the Sa-Yo Mint Jujubes product from Wallace & Co of New York. The main image on the hangar is the same as the image on the boxes of candy that held the small E202 actor and actress cards. This piece pictures (4) of the brown bordered cards from the E202 set and is one of only a few pieces of advertising we have seen picturing early Candy and Gum cards. The piece measures about 6" Wide x 8" High and has what is apparently the original hanging string through two holes at the top center of the card. The piece has a moderate crease about 1/3 up the card through the piece but is otherwise in clean condition front and back. Very scarce piece.
