The National Education Association produced a couple of sets of cards picturing the 535 members of the Senate and U.S. Congress during the late 1980's and early 1990's. The sets were shrink wrapped and, as such, a couple of the cards Heflin (Alabama) and Lugo (Virgin Islands) were damaged due to being top and bottom cards in shrink wrapping. The front of the cards are in red, white and blue colors with backs of the cards in blue and white with black printing. The backs have detailed information about the Senators and Congresspeople's offices and what Committees that they are part of. Great set that could be very useful in education circles.
The set in this lot is believed to be complete and in approximately EX to EXMT condition except for the aforementioned Heflin and Lugo cards. The cards picture many of the more popular senators and congress people of the day including: Bernie Sanders, John Glenn, Chuck Schumer, Edward Kennedy, Jim Bunning, Mitch McConnell, Fred Grandy, Joe Lieberman, Dianne Feinstein, Maxine Waters, Leon Panetta, John Lewis, Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden, John McCain and many others.
