The 1954 Topps Scoop set is one of the more popular 1950's Topps sets. The 156 card checklist has cards for events that happened mostly in the 19th and 20th century and includes cards for many of the popular luminaries of the day including sports figures Babe Ruth, Bob Feller, Jack Dempsey, Joe Louis, John L Sullivan and others. There are cards involving events with US Presidents, Explorers and other historical events. The cards are constructed almost as a page out of a newspaper and are popular with set collectors, graded card collectors and topical collectors alike.
This lot of 1954 Topps Scoops includes (6) sports-related cards to include the following subjects: #27 Bob Feller, #40 Joe Louis, #65 Rocky Marciano, #71 John L Sullivan, #129 Ben Hogan and #130 Boston Braves Moving. The cards are in VG to EX condition and mostly clean.
