The 1949 Topps License Plates set is a (50) card set of cards that were inserted into the very small pieces of Topps gum from 1949. The cards are very small at about 1/2" x 1". The cards picture a license plate on one side and a scene from the state on the other side. The scenes were covered by a scratch off film and the cards are frequently found with this film already scratched off or with varying amounts still intact. The cards are extremely scarce and the set is a very tough set to complete.
This lot is for a group of (6) of lower grade 1949 Topps License Plates. The subjects include: Idaho, New York, Tennessee(2), Vermont and Virginia. All (6) are in fair condition but are part of an extremely scarce set. Tough to find in any condition.
