The Comic Trading cards were blank-backed cards that came in packs of (12) cards and were issued in places like F.W. Woolworth and other outlets. The cards were issued over a long period and for different topics for different comic strips. Subjects from Lil' Abner, Blondie and Dagwood and even Superman were all shown on the comic trader cards during the period that is believed to have been from about 1930-1949. The (12) cards in the packages often contained duplicates that were there for trading purposes.
This lot is for a single package of (12) Comic Traders cards with the original fold-up box. The subjects in the lot include Superman and Lois Lane(2), Penny(2), Humphrey Pennyworth(2), Chief Thunderbird(2), Dinny the Dinosaur(2), Carol Tubs and Pop Orbit. All the cards and box are in about EX condition with mostly general wear. Tough to find one of these packs intact and tough to find them with a pair of Superman cards in them.
