The 1940-45 Mutoscope cards are similar in nature to the Exhibit cards of the same timeframe but are much more beautiful. The mutoscope series typically picture women in what would have probably been scandalous scenes for the 1940's and early 1950's. Many are sexually suggestive and have much more skin showing than the normal woman would have had in public. There are a number of different series of cards within the Mutoscope genre and all are very collectible.
This lot of (9) 1940-45 Mutoscope cards are from the Hot 'Cha girls series and all have been graded by PSA. The subjects and grades are as follows: Golden Hours PSA6 EXMT, Called in the Draft PSA6 EXMT, Some Baby PSA4 VGEX, Figures Don't Lie PSA6 EXMT, A Neat Package PSA6 EXMT, Safety First PSA6 EXMT, Fisherman's Luck PSA4 VGEX, Southern Exposure PSA6.5 EXMT+ and Beach Comber PSA5. Great start to this set.
