The 1901 Ogden's Cigarettes of the (UK) is a massive set of cards, issued in a number of series over a period of time and inserted into Ogden's Guinea Gold cigarette packages. The cards are typically black bordered identified on the front of the card. Within different series, there is a heavy military presence of subjects as well as actresses and other celebrities. There are cards for famous golfers and cards featuring scenes and ships and other subjects.
This lot is for a group of (5) 1901 Ogden's Cigarettes (UK) Guinea Gold cards that have all been graded by PSA as PSA6 EXMT. Four of the cards are the black bordered cards from Series D and include the following subjects: Maj-Gen Gharles E Knox, Maj. Gen Henry J Hildyard, C.B., Sir Joshua Reynolds and Statue to Mr. Kruger in Pretoria. The fifth card is a white bordered card noted on the PSA flip as "Actresses Green Photogravure" picturing Misses Bowmen. All the cards are in wonderful shape and a great group for the set builder or type card collector.
